Juventus rallied to maintain their unbeaten Serie A run on Sunday with a 2-2 draw against Bologna.

Scorers: Koopmeiners 62′, Mbangula 90+2′; Ndoye 30′, Pobega 52′

It was a game where Juventus manager Thiago Motta would have wanted to be the one smiling, but he was initially made to sweat against his former club Bologna.

The visitors were clinical and grabbed the lead when Emi Holm sent a brilliant through ball into the box for Dan Ndoye. The No. 11 then made no mistake and roofed the ball into the net.

Juventus struggled to implement any genuine attacking threats. To make matters worse, Andrea Cambiaso was forced off injured, Pierre Kalulu narrowly avoided conceding a penalty and Motta was shown a straight red for dissent after 50 minutes.

Bologna then rubbed salt into the wounds. Some seconds after the Juventus manager went walking, Tommaso Pobega doubled the lead. The midfielder received a little flick-on, rushed toward goalkeeper Mattia Perin, and chipped home.

The hosts managed to pull one back when Teun Koopmeiners was left unmarked in the box near the penalty spot, but with only two shots on target, it appeared it wouldn’t be enough.

That was until substituteย Samuel Mbangula entered the game, received a ball in the box and calmly took his chance as it curled into the top corner to see things end all square.

The result means Juventus (sixth) registered their ninth draw of the season while Bologna (eighth) will see it as two points dropped.
