Romelu Lukaku has finally broken his duck for Napoli against Milan in an early season Scudetto test at San Siro.
The visitors arrived in the fashion capital of Europe topping the table and struck early via the Belgium international’s strike in the fifth minute.
For Lukaku, it ended a poor run of form against Milan that saw the centre-forward fail to find the back of the net in each of his last seven outings against the Rossoneri.
Now with four goals in the current 2024-25 season, Lukaku is still well off the pace compared to Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui, who leads the pack with 10 goals.
But for Napoli, it is the early goal they would have been looking for on a tricky away day ahead of stern tests with Inter, Atalanta, and Roma.
