Atlético de Madrid have confirmed that summer signing Conor Gallagher has scooped their September Player of the Month award after a string of fine performances.
The Englishman, who arrived from Chelsea in the most recent transfer window, started all four La Liga games for Diego Simeone’s side and scored twice in the process.
It was enough to earn him the award at the Wanda Metropolitano, ahead of the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Julian Alvarez.
