📸 Kylian Mbappé marks UCL debut for Real Madrid with a goal 🙌

Must read

It took just 46 minutes for Kylian Mbappé to give the Santiago Bernabéu crowd exactly what they wanted, as he opened the scoring for Real Madrid against Stuttgart with his first Champions League goal for the club.

Madrid seriously struggled in the first half, with Stuttgart the much better side who were very unlucky not to score before the break.

However, as is so often the case, if you don’t take your chances against the defending champions, they will eventually make you pay. And so they did just 21 seconds into the second half.

It came via a mistake from the German side, which allowed Rodrygo to streak clear on the right before putting the ball on a plate for the French captain to tap into an empty net.

The goal is Mbappé’s 49th in the Champions League, which brings him level in the all-time list with Real Madrid royalty, Alfredo Di Stéfano.

Of course Real Madrid have won 15 titles, including two of the last three, while Mbappé is still looking to win his first.

He’s got his quest off to the perfect start, and there’s little doubt there are plenty more goals to come.
