🚨 Raheem Sterling seals sensational Arsenal switch from Chelsea

Must read

Raheem Sterling has made a sensational switch to Arsenal on Deadline Day.

The former Chelsea man will once again wear red in the Premier League after signing for the Gunners on a season-long loan.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca publicly confirmed the England winger was not part of his plans for the 2024-25 season, forcing Sterling and his camp to look elsewhere.

“I am not saying Raheem is not a good player, but I prefer different kinds of wingers,” Maresca said earlier this month.

“We have a big squad and it’s impossible to give all of them minutes. If they are looking for minutes it’s better for them to leave. I try to be honest.”

Mikel Arteta subsequently jumped at the chance to sign the 29-year-old in the final hours of the summer transfer window.

With heaps of experience, Sterling brings with him 379 Premmier League appearances, 123 goals and 62 assists.

The move means the player will have now represented four of the Premier League’s “big six” clubs. Before arriving at Stamford Bridge, the winger played for Manchester City and Liverpool.
