Once again, Chelsea will love the fact that they have Cole Palmer in their squad.
And after Manchester City drew against Newcastle earlier on Saturday, they’ll be annoyed to have let him go.
As he has all season, the Englishman is pulling the strings at Stamford Bridge against Brighton to kick-start a comeback.
Palmer hit the post early in the first half and had a goal ruled out for offside before finally finding his touch.
The 22-year-old made a late run into the box and slammed home into an empty net, scored a penalty, and then secured a first-half hat-trick with a stunning left-footed free-kick from 25 yards out.
3 – Cole Palmer has now scored three Premier League hat-tricks, the joint-most of any Chelsea player in the competition’s history (level with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard). Rabbit. #CHEBHA pic.twitter.com/u5iz7QcGLN

All three goals arrived within 10 minutes, and it goes down as his third Premier League hat-trick, the joint most of any Chelsea player.
To make things even better, Palmer also now has more goal contributions than appearances for the Blues in the English top flight.
What a signing!
