Atalanta and Milan went head-to-head on Friday, with the hosts winning an entertaining contest 2-1.

Scorers: De Ketelaere 12′, Lookman 87′; Morata 22′

It was a tense match with few chances at Gewiss Stadium, but when the best opportunities arrived, both clubs took them in this back-and-forth affair.

Atalanta opened the scoring when former Milan man Charles De Ketelaere beat Theo Hernรกndez in the air and thumped home before celebrating.

However, the visitors struck back with the equaliser 10 minutes later thanks to a wicked counter-attack. Rafael Leรฃo set Milan on their way before finding Alvaro Morata in the box for 1-1.

As the game went on, Mario Paลกaliฤ‡ and Tijjani Reijnders kept either goalkeeper on their toes. Unfortunately for Milan, star creator Christian Pulisic was forced off with an ankle issue.

The second half of the game featured plenty of toying with the ball in midfield as both sides attempted to find one open lane or one mistake. And then it arrived.

Ademola Lookman forced a late corner and, in front of a rocking crowd, made sure Atalanta reaped the rewards.

A near-post flick following the delivery saw the ball move to the back post where an unmarked Lookman made no mistake to head home the winner.

The result means Atalanta moved to first in Serie A, two points above Napoli. Milan, meanwhile, sit 12 points back in seventh.
