Maybe Spain striker Γlvaro Morata should stop taking penalties.
His miss this evening during Spainβs Nations League clash with Serbia was the third consecutive penalty he has failed to score for both club and country.
In fact, the last penalty Morata did convert came back in March 2022.
Excluding shootouts, Alvaro Morata has now missed his last three penalties for club and country:

Spain supporters wonβt be too annoyed though, as the striker then found the back of the net from open play just nine minutes later with a superb first-time curling finish.
In fact, Morata is the first player to both miss a penalty and score a goal in the same match for Spain since Fernando Torres did so against Tahiti in the 2013 confederations cup.
Heβll be breathing a sigh of relief tonight.
