Leeds United will be without the talents of midfielder Ilia Gruev for the long term.
The club confirmed on Thursday the 24-year-old Bulgaria international sustained a significant meniscus injury against Norwich City.
Gruev will now undergo knee surgery to repair the issue, which will require “an extended period of rehabilitation.”
It’s the second massive injury blow for the club after captain Ethan Ampadu was also ruled out for the long term with a left knee ligament injury.
