🚨 Milan clinch dramatic Supercoppa final win over Inter

Must read

Milan denied Inter a fourth Supercoppa Italiana in a row with a dramatic 3-2 win.

Scorers: Martínez 45+2′, Taremi 48′; Hernández 52′, Pulisic 80′, Abraham 90+4′

The Rossoneri made history at Riyadh’s Al -Awwal Park by lining up for the first time in the showpiece without any homegrown players in their starting XI.

Lautaro Martínez broke the deadlock for the reigning Serie A champions deep into first-half added time with a sweeping finish after being teed up by Mehdi Taremi.

Provider turned poacher just minutes after the restart as Taremi met Stefan de Vrij’s perfectly-weighted downfield pass before rolling the ball past Mike Maignan.

But Milan reduced their deficit within minutes courtesy of Theo Hernández’s low-driven free kick which bamboozled the Nerazzurri’s five-man defensive wall.

Christian Pulisic restored parity for Sérgio Conceição’s side in the final 10 minutes with a shot on the turn after Hernández successfully chased a loose ball.

In the fourth minute of added time, substitute Tammy Abraham snatched the spoils by converting Rafael Leão’s cutback from a Pulisic through ball with a simple finish.
