Arsenal sporting director, Edu, is set to leave the club after five years in the Emirates boardroom.
That’s according to well-sourced Daily Mail journalist Sami Mokbel, who claims that the former midfielder is heading for the exit door in north London.
Edu rejoined his former club in 2019 and has been a key component of the Gunners resurgence in recent years.
The Brazil international was heavily involved in the signings of Martin Ødegaard and Declan Rice and is regularly seen pictured alongside Mikel Arteta whenever a new arrival joins the club.
But the Daily Mail say that Edu will leave Arsenal but have yet to confirm a date on his exit.
They do however, insist it is ‘too simplistic’ to say there has been a power-struggle between Edu and Arteta behind the scenes.
