Ramsdale, who most recently played the full 90 minutes against Wolves in Saints’ 2-0 loss this past weekend, will undergo the procedure on Wednesday having withdrawn from the England squad.
As of now, it remains unclear just how long the 26-year-old shot-stopper will be out, leaving manager Russel Martin with a choice between Joe Lumley and Alex McCarthy as Gavin Bazunu likely remains unavailable (also due to injury) until the new year.
