OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men’s tennis team fell 5-2 to no. 18 McPherson College at Forest Park on Friday afternoon.
Oscar Giorgio and Ben Russell won their no. 3 doubles match 6-3 over Celien Botlan and Arthur Nardy. Jhoel Quinonez and Jarmo Perez Wienese fell 6-3 to Michael Beltran and Martin Millos in no. 1 doubles. Julian Toloza and Santiago Tartaglia were defeated 7-5 by Oscar Brouwer and Daniel Marcano in no. 2 doubles.
Tartaglia defeated Arthur Nardy 6-2, 6-2 in no. 3 singles. Toloza took a 6-1, 6-4 victory in no. 4 singles over Millos. Perez Wienese was defeated 6-0, 6-3 by Beltran in no. 1 singles. Quinonez fell to Marcus Nardy in no. 2 singles. Giorgio was defeated by Botlan 6-3, 6-1 in no. 5 singles. Almog fell in no. 6 singles to Marcano 6-1, 6-1.
Ottawa (12-6, 8-2) returns to the court on Saturday, April 20 in Salina, Kan. against Kansas Wesleyan University. The match is scheduled to begin at
