Three Lions lined up for victory

England are the 3/1 favourites to end their 58-year trophy drought and win the European Championship in Germany this summer.

The Three Lions have seen steady progress under Gareth Southgate, including finishing as runners-up to Italy in the previous Euros.

At the 2022 World Cup, they were knocked out by eventual finalists France at the quarter-final stage – and Les Bleus are the second favourites for Euro 2024 at 4/1.

They are in a group alongside the Netherlands, who also feature in the tournament outright betting at 16/1.

Germany complete the top three in the betting at 11/2. While they have struggled in recent years, they do hold a crucial home advantage this time.

Portugal are next in the betting at 7/1 and then it is two members of the tricky Group B, containing Spain, Croatia and Italy. The Spaniards are 8/1 to win the tournament while the Italians are 14/1 to retain the trophy.

Belgium also feature, completing the list of frontrunners at 16/1 to win the Euros for the first time.

Euro 2024 top scorer odds

Who will be the Euro 2024 top scorer?

As implied by the latest bookmakers’ odds.

Player Chance of being Euro 2024 top scorer
Kylian Mbappe (France) 27%
Harry Kane (England) 25%
Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) 8%
Jude Bellingham (England) 7%
Olivier Giroud (France) 5%
Romelu Lukaku (Belgium) 5%
Antoine Griezmann (France) 4%
Jamal Musiala (Germany) 4% Bukayo Saka (England) 3%

Can anyone beat Mbappe?

Kylian Mbappe is a worthy 3/1 favourite for the Euro 2024 Golden Boot after the Frenchman won the top-scorer award at the 2022 World Cup, with eight goals.

The 25-year-old, who seems destined to move from Paris Saint Germain to Real Madrid in the summer, has a fair claim to be the world’s best player. With France among the favourites to win the tournament it would be no surprise to see Mbappe score the most goals.

Harry Kane is just behind him in the betting at 11/2. The England captain won the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

If the Three Lions are to win the competition, it is likely that Kane will play a major part.

Other Englishmen in the betting include Jude Bellingham at 14/1 and Bukayo Saka at 28/1 – but it is Cristiano Ronaldo who completes the top three in the market at 12/1.

The 39-year-old was the top scorer at the previous pandemic-delayed Euros in 2021 but it is fair to say the legendary No 7 is past his best.

Apart from Mbappe, Frenchmen in the running are Olivier Giroud (20/1) and Antoine Griemzann (25/1).

For the hosts, Jamal Musiala is seen as the most likely to win the Golden Boot at 25/1, while Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku is also in the mix at 20/1.

Euro 2024 player of the tournament

The odds for player of the tournament are not yet available but there will be plenty of candidates to choose from in succession to Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, the winner at the previous Euros three years ago.

Players such as Bellingham, Gavi (Spain) and Eduardo Camavinga (France) are among the hottest prospects in Europe and could take the tournament by storm. In this market, it is crucial to keep an eye on individual performances and any injury threats as their club campaigns reach a conclusion.

There will be lots of players available to pick from and we will provide odds nearer the time – so be sure to check back to take advantage of them.
