Nicolas Paradis of Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Que., ran his way to the half-marathon championship on Sunday at Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, finishing just ahead of Olivier Cyr of Montreal.
Paradis crossed the finish line in one hour 11 minutes and four seconds while Cyr ended up with a time of 1:11.16.
Andrew Deak of Chelsea placed third in 1:12.06.
Erika Morrisburg, Ont., claimed the women’s title in 1:21.24, ahead of Alice Cote-Allard of Quebec City (1:22.02) and Amelie Simard of Chicoutimi, Que. (1:23.15).
