Must read

Katelyn Wilson is a multi-skilled journalist with CTV News Ottawa.

Her journalism career began at a radio station in Lacombe, Alta., where she worked as a reporter/anchor. She then moved to Global Lethbridge and later Global Regina, where she worked as a video journalist.

During her career, she has covered dozens of stories. Most notably, she received the RTDNA ‘Investigative Dan McArthur Award’ for Tainted Water. This was part of a joint investigation, which showed Saskatchewan residents had some of the highest levels of lead-tainted water in Canada.

She was also a part of the award-winning coverage of the Kenow wildfire in Waterton Lakes National Park and covered the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus crash.

Katelyn earned her diploma in journalism from Lethbridge College. She also graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Calgary.

She grew up in the Kitchener/Waterloo area, and when she is not working, she is an avid lover of the outdoors, a true crime junkie and loves spending time with her family.

Katelyn speaks English and joined CTV News Ottawa in 2023.
