Nottingham Forest have completed the loan signing of James Ward-Prowse from West Ham United.
The move comes as somewhat of a surprise, given that the 29-year-old only made the move to the Hammers last summer and made a total of 51 appearances in the 2023/24 campaign.
Ward-Prowse joined the Saints’ youth ranks at the age of eight and spent the next 20 years at the club, developing his reputation as a free-kick specialist.
Having represented England at all international youth levels, he also earned 11 senior caps between 2017 and 2022.
The midfielder is the only player to have scored more than 50 Premier League goals and have more than half of them come from direct free-kicks or penalties.
