In a groundbreaking event held from July 22-26, 2024, the Grand Bavaro Princess in Punta Cana hosted “The Social Jet-Setter Experience,” an innovative program designed to empower travel advisors with enhanced marketing and sales skills through immersive social media experiences.
Unlike traditional FAM trips, this unique initiative required advisors to invest in their professional development by paying a negotiated rate covering comprehensive training and day pass costs. The program focused on fostering partnerships among suppliers, advisors, and The Social Jet-Setter organization.
Participants were treated to a multi-faceted experience, exploring all Princess Hotels & Resorts in Punta Cana as if they were clients. The itinerary included site inspections and day passes, providing advisors with an in-depth understanding of each resort’s offerings.
Highlights of the event included the inaugural Social Jet-Setter Paella Contest at the beachfront Café del Mar restaurant, a sumptuous lunch at the Platinum Restaurant in Caribe Deluxe & Tropical Deluxe Princess followed by a lively foam party, and an exhilarating live pool concert at the Adults-Only Punta Cana Princess hotel.
A key component of the experience was content creation. Advisors produced engaging user-generated content based on their experiences, simultaneously promoting the resorts and enhancing their own marketing portfolios.
The Social Jet-Setter provided extensive training in content creation, social media strategies, and advanced business and sales techniques. This holistic approach equipped advisors with the tools needed to thrive in the digital age of travel marketing.
