We asked you for your thoughts on Tottenham‘s transfer window, their start to the season and where you believed they would finish.
In our poll, 33% of you think Spurs will finish between second and fourth in the table, with 29% of you saying they’ll be fifth. More worryingly, 32% think it will be a season where Ange Postecoglou’s side end between sixth and 10th.
Here are some of the comments you sent our way:
Haydyn: The most important thing for Tottenham this season is to win a trophy. League Cup, FA Cup, Europa League. Just something. I would take a mediocre Premier League season for a trophy. Genuinely believe a trophy win can give Tottenham the bounce we need to chase bigger things. Until we do that though, it’ll be the same old cycle as the last five seasons.
Ernie: I know it’s very early in the season but it looks like same old Tottenham. Something seems to be amiss with the training based on the number of injuries we sustain. Squad looks weak up front as no one available to take the chances being created although wrong option too often being taken. Sadly I can’t see us finishing much higher than mid-table.
David: I feel that something has got to change with regards to the forward pressing. We cannot have everyone pressing including the defenders. Romero was out of position for both Newcastle goals! Solanke getting injured is typical of Tottenham’s luck. Richarlison is just not good enough for a top four team in the Premier League.
