Let’s take a look at this week’s waiver wire connections presented by Spectrum Dalton.
You get us kicked off with your large priority player this week, Carson Steele and the Chiefs Isaiah Pacheco to miss multiple weeks, Steele was highly productive in college.
He’s now the favorite for goal line carries at minimum in Kansas City.
Samaj P. Ryan saw one touch compared to seven for steel.
Andy Reid said Steele is going to have to step into that role of featured back.
So yes, Clyde Edwards and Larry may return, they brought in Kareem Hunt, but there’s enough fantasy upside to see what happens with Steel and he’s available in 95% of Yahoo leagues.
I’ll throw out Ty Chandler as a large priority player.
Look, he’s not gonna have instant starting appeal but he should not be on waiver wires in any league.
We already saw Aaron Jones deal with some injuries in week two and Ty Chandler got in there in what looks like a really good Vikings offense and certainly rushing ecosystem right now and had a couple of nice runs against the San Francis 49 ers high yards per carry player, somebody who can be explosive.
He’s not Aaron Jones, he’s not gonna suddenly take his job or anything.
But if something happens to Jones, if he misses time, he is somebody that people might drop, you know, 80 to 90% of their free agent budget to get this guy.
So why not make sure he is on your roster before that happens?
Uh Dalton, that actually is a great transition to your medium priority player who sort of fits this archetype but also had a little bit more splash plays in week number two.
Yeah, Braylyn Allen on the Jets became the youngest player to ever score a touchdown in the modern era.
He could have had three scores.
He finished with two, a big back, a nice change of pace to Bruce Hall.
No team has a higher running back target share than the Jets do through two weeks.
33% Allen played 20 snaps against the Titans and ran just nine fewer routes than hall huge contingency fantasy upside here.
He’s even a possible flex play in the right matchups.
Another one with a nice strong college resume.
Braylon Allen available in 90% of Yahoo leads.
I’ll go back to that Chiefs backfield for my medium priority player and talk about Samaje Pine who is a later ar rival to the team uh at the end of the preseason and he’s certainly somebody I think you’re right to say Dalton, the Carson Steel will probably lead the team in carries, but Samaje Pine is a passing down back.
Uh, he is a guy who he hasn’t been involved quite just yet again.
He’s slowly ramping up, but he might be the guy that steps into that third down role.
I would just grab him and see if he holds down a role where Patrick Holmes is checking down to him or if he does end up taking some more base carries as well.
Dalton, who is your small priority?
Wide receiver, give me demarcus Robinson on the Rams.
He led L A with 28 routes run last week and unfortunately, Cooper Cup leapt with an ankle injury.
It’s gonna sidelight him multiple weeks.
Obviously, Puka Nua is out.
Uh, the Rams cannot run the football with this offensive line.
Uh, they are the best team in the NFL for Fantasy production from wide receivers.
Robinson was productive down the stretch last year.
He’s available in 60% of Yahoo Leagues all throughout Jalen Tober from the Dallas Cowboys who, uh, had a pretty big time catch also recovered a nice fumble there as well.
He has run a route on just under 73% the drop back so far.
This is a team that needs more options in the pass sketching department.
I’m not saying he’s about to become a weekly starter, but he’s certainly somebody that maybe at this point because the usage is there because this is an offense that we do expect to be one of the best in the league when it gets rolling.
They should probably the like their third receiver, a guy who maybe could have send going forward, he should just be parked on the end of your Fantasy benches and kind of see what happens.
