This lightweight hooded puffer features zippered pockets, elasticized cuffs and a flattering contoured design that won’t add bulk to your shape. The jacket is available in a variety of sizes (XS to 6X) and 13 different colour ways.
The water-resistant jacket can be packed small enough to fit in backpacks, carry-ons and even your purse so that you can keep it handy on hikes, holidays and even while you commute.
What I like about it
It’s surprisingly warm: Despite being lightweight, this jacket is perfect for fall weather. It’s my go-to transitional piece before dipping into my bulky winter jackets and has been worn on many (and I mean many) park dates, hikes and daycare drop-offs.
It’s easy to clean: I’ve worn this jacket near smokey campfires and holding a sticky toddler — and it always comes out of the wash looking brand new.
It’s easy to pack: If you’re someone who loves to hike or enjoys travelling light, this might be the jacket for you. You can roll the jacket into its included carrying bag so you can stow it in your purse, backpack or carry-on bag.
Room for improvement
Sizing: This jacket is Mary Poppins’ level of being “practically perfect in every way.” However, I would recommend sizing up to ensure a more comfortable fit over your sweaters and sweatshirts.

It’s actually embarrassing how much I buy on Amazon — but no matter what I order, I always check out the customer reviews and look for products with hundreds, if not thousands of reviews.
The Lightweight Puffer from Amazon Essentials currently has a solid 4.1-star rating based on more than 20,000 customer reviews. Even without the hood, shoppers have called this puffer “very good quality.”
“Perfect for spring or early fall,” one person wrote, while another said it was “lightweight but warm” and great for wearing in the car or while running errands.
Another called the coat “superb” and said it was the perfect “take anywhere jacket.”
Some shoppers said the jacket was great for layering with sweaters and sweatshirts for fall, while others commended Amazon on the style that prompts compliments from passersby.
