Our Farm Next Door viewers spot big change as new series continues

Must read

Our Farm Next Door viewers were distracted by how much Amanda and Clive Owen’s children have changed as the new series continued.

The Our Yorkshire Farm stars – who split in 2022 after 22 years of marriage – have reunited for the new Channel 4 series two years after their hit show wrapped. It follows the pair as they set about restoring Anty John’s Farm, a derelict building in the Yorkshire Dales, with the help of their nine children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy.

The latest instalment on Monday, 21 October saw the roof of the property taken off in what was a tricky part of the project as builder Richard pointed out that the roof has a major role in keeping the walls up and in place. But lots of viewers seemed to be more interested in how much the Owen children had changed.

Amanda, Clive and their brood have been offscreen for two years since Our Yorkshire Farm came to an end after five series. The children now range in age from the youngest, seven-year-old Nancy, to Raven, who at 23 is the eldest child. She is now at university, where she is studying biomedical science, but made an appearance in Monday’s episode to see how the project was coming along.

As the new series aired, many fans have been posting messages on social media commenting on how much the children have changed since they were last on TV.

“I can’t believe how much Clemmie and the other kids have grown up,” one fan wrote on Amanda’s Instagram, as another person remarked: “All grown up!” “The girls have grown so much,” said someone else.

“Whoah! Growing up quick,” exclaimed another viewer. Someone else posted: “It’s lovely that you are all back on TV. They are so grown up now.”

“Loving the series so far! The kids have grown up so much!” said another. “Love this family!” posted another fan.

Amanda and Clive are renovating Anty John’s together but they are no longer a couple. Amanda — aka the Yorkshire Shepherdess — addressed their break up as the series started, telling viewers that “although we are still husband and wife, we are separate”.

“This last year has been incredibly hard in so many respects but we’ve got through it,” she said.

Clive added that although they have split they are still working together and raising their brood together. “Me and Mandy, we’ve had a strange few years and we’re now in a place where although we are not actually together, we are still in business together, we still have these kids together,” he explained.

“It’s a crazy situation but it isn’t; it’s the most sensible thing for everybody to do.”

Our Farm Next Door is streaming on Channel 4 now.
