Prepare for Double-Double traffic near Boise Towne Square this weekend.

Fast-food deity In-N-Out Burger plans to open its second Idaho restaurant — and first in the City of Trees — on Friday.

Boise’s In-N-Out is located at 140 N. Milwaukee St.

“Shawn Martin, who has been a veteran of In-N-Out for 18 years, will manage the Boise restaurant located at 140 N. Milwaukee Street,” according to a press release. “The restaurant will employ approximately 60 In-N-Out Burger Associates with a starting wage of $17.50 per hour.

“There will be one drive-thru lane, indoor seating for 74 guests, and a covered patio with outdoor seating for 32 guests. All In-N-Out Burger locations are open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. and until 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.”

It’s all mouthwatering news for fans of the California-based chain, which has a cult-like following.

In-N-Out unleashed its fast-food superpowers on The Village at Meridian last December. Customers lined up overnight for that earth-shattering event. It even made national headlines. (Lordy, Idaho. That’s kind of embarrassing.) Multi-hour waits for the chain’s famously affordable hamburgers and “animal-style” deliciousness continued for days after that.

Anticipating large crowds at its first location in Idaho, In-N-Out provided a large workforce to take orders in Meridian.

The Boise grand opening won’t be quite as nuts. Might not be quite as nuts. Then again, In-N-Out’s “not-so-secret menu” is pretty addictive. Not to mention the restaurant’s wallet-friendly price points.

Either way, crowds should thin out over time. In-N-Out plans to keep opening restaurants across the Treasure Valley.

Another In-N-Out is under construction at 16225 N. Marketplace Blvd. in Nampa. And Meridian city records show that In-N-Out filed a pre-application request to build another at 5985 N. Ten Mile Road, near Costco.
