Team news before Saturday and Sunday’s Scottish Premiership matches.

Dundee v St Johnstone (Sat, 15:00 BST)

Dundee midfielder Mo Sylla returns from suspension, while defender Jordan McGhee and midfielder Scott Fraser will be assessed.

And centre-half Joe Shaughnessy is making good progress from a long-term knee injury.

Croat centre-half Bozo Mikulic is still waiting on a work permit to complete his move to St Johnstone after leaving Partizan Tirana.

The visitors will also again be without Cammy MacPherson, Uche Ikpeazu and Sam McClelland.

Ross County v Kilmarnock (Sat, 15:00)

On-loan Everton defender Eli Campbell and midfielder Charlie Telfer are suspended for Ross County, but centre-half Ricki Lamie returns to contention after an Achilles injury.

Will Nightingale, George Harmon and Max Sheaf remain out.

Kilmarnock defender Joe Wright is back from suspension, but midfielder Liam Polworth remains out along with long-term absentee Kyle Magennis.

Aberdeen v Dundee United (Sat, 17:30)

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin has a few players with issues but is hopeful they will all be fit other than long-term absentees Pape Habib Gueye and Dante Polvara.

Ryan Strain has a good chance of being part of the Dundee United squad after the right-back recovering from a hamstring injury.

Striker Louis Moult and midfielder Ross Docherty are battling to be fit.

However, centre-half Ross Graham is out for several weeks with a hamstring injury, while midfielder Craig Sibbald has undergone groin surgery.

Hibernian v Heart of Midlothian (Sun, 12:00 GMT)

Hibernian captain Joe Newell is suspended, but fellow midfielder Nectarios Triantis returns following a ban.

Winger Nicky Cadden and right-back twin Chris Cadden are battling to prove their fitness, while long-term absentees Kieron Bowie and Jake Doyle-Hayes remain on the sidelines.

Hearts hope to have midfielder Beni Baningime back after illness, but forward Yutaro Oda is expected to remain on the sidelines along with Gerald Taylor and Calem Nieuwenhof.

Motherwell v Celtic (Sun, 15:00)

Motherwell have midfielder Tom Sparrow back after a minor injury, while striker Apostolos Stamatelopoulos has recovered from the upset stomach that forced him off against Dundee.

But Paul McGinn, Callum Slattery, Sam Nicholson, Harry Paton, Ross Callachan and Jack Vale are long-term absentees.

Celtic hope to have centre-half Cameron Carter-Vickers and left-back Greg Taylor back from injury.

Rangers v St Mirren (Sun, 15:00)

Rangers midfielder Tom Lawrence and striker Cyriel Dessers will be assessed after picking up injuries in midweek.

Midfielder Ianis Hagi serves the second of a two-game ban, while wingers Oscar Cortes and Rabbi Matondo remain out.

Forward Conor McMenamin is back in contention for St Mirren after recovering from a knee injury, but midfielder Dennis Adeniran is struggling with illness.

Richard Taylor is still recovering after hernia surgery and Alex Iacovitti is out long term.
