Ten Hag has made three changes himself after the visitors’ 1-1 draw with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in midweek, with Victor Lindelof, Joshua Zirkzee and Manuel Ugarte all dropping to the subs bench as Casemiro, Rasmus Hojlund and captain Bruno Fernandes all return to the XI.

Julen Lopetegui makes four changes to his Hammers side in the wake of their 4-1 drubbing by Spurs, one of which is enforced after Mohammed Kudus’ red card late in that defeat. Lukasz Fabianski displaces Alphonse Areola between the sticks, while Carlos Soler, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Edson Alvarez all come in for Kudus, Jean-Clair Todibo and Tomas Soucek respectively.

The Red Devils have already suffered heavy home losses to Liverpool and Spurs, but snapped a four-game winless streak with a 2-1 victory over Brentford last time out.

The 16th-placed Irons haven’t had the start they’d hoped for under Julen Lopetegui, with the Spaniard’s side winning just two of their first eight games and losing four, including a 4-1 humbling by Tottenham Hotspur in last weekend’s London derby.
