Arsenal have turned set pieces into an artform under Mikel Arteta but it is now working the other way.
They were again undone as Virgil van Dijk drew Liverpool level during Sunday’s Premier League encounter at the Emirates Stadium.
It means that the Gunners are now rivalling relegation candidates Wolves and Southampton with their poor record from set piece concession.
Only Wolves and Southampton (both 7) have conceded more goals from set-pieces than Arsenal so far this season in the Premier League.

Mikel Merino counterbalanced the statistic by scoring shortly before half time from Declan Rice’s pinpoint free kick into the box.
But maybe red cards aren’t the biggest problem for Arteta’s side this season.
