Raducanu’s first serve was key in the opening set of her win over Germany’s Jule Niemeier on Friday.
It was also very effective in her opening service game here.
The British number two says she has been working on making her serve “more of a weapon” and plans to focus on that more in the off-season.
Lengthening her takeback again, having gone to a shorter swing in the summer, is helping her find more rhythm and consistency. It also seems to be generating extra power.
