Under-fire Luton Town boss Rob Edwards has warned his players to stop making errors or be dropped following their defeat at Norwich City.
The 4-2 loss at Carrow Road was their sixth successive away defeat in the Championship and leaves them 19th, three points above the relegation places.
The Hatters have conceded 20 goals in those six losses, with Edwards putting all four goals shipped at Norwich down to individual errors.
“People have got to fix it quickly, otherwise they won’t play,” he told BBC Three Counties Radio.
“Too many times it’s happened, but today it was so, so evident.
“The plan was good, there was a good performance there, and we should have come away winning the game, but we’ve made four massive errors individually and it’s cost us a game of football again.”
Luton have picked up four points on the road from a possible 27 this season, but in contrast have won their last two matches at Kenilworth Road, keeping clean sheets.
Edwards went over to acknowledge the travelling fans at full-time, but said he would not apologise this time “because that’s not on me”.
“The majority of fans are with us, and if there are some that are angry, that’s fine – they’re flipping right to be angry,” he added.
“I’m angry as well. We’ve just lost 4-2 and chucked it away.”
Luton’s form since last season’s relegation from the Premier League has put Edwards’ position under scrutiny, but the 41-year-old confirmed his determination to carry on.
“I’m ready to fight and dig in, but every one of those players has to do that with me as well,” he said.
