Cardiff have confirmed the appointment of Omer Riza as head coach until the end of the season.
Riza has been in interim charge of the Bluebirds since Erol Bulut’s sacking last month.
In that time the Welsh side have climbed up to 20th in the Championship with draws against Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry.
Riza’s last head coach role was back in 2017 when he was in charge of Leyton Orient.
The 45-year-old told the club’s official website: “I am delighted to be able to continue to lead this brilliant football club, and would like to thank Tan Sri Vincent and the Board of Directors for the opportunity.
“We have made real progress during the last few weeks, and I look forward to continuing our work on the training pitch over the coming months.
“I’m very excited for the remainder of the season, and hope that you Bluebirds fans are looking forward to joining us.”
Cardiff now face promotion-chasing Watford this Saturday.
