3. Attention all LEGO lovers

The fourth annual BrickStories LEGO extravaganza runs Saturday and Sunday (10 a.m.-3 p.m.) at the White City Community Centre.

The event features adult master builders from across the province, including the Saskatchewan LEGO Users Group (SLUG), as they share various techniques in addition to some of their most elaborate creations.

“The power of “the brick” is a unique means to make stories come to life,” says a news release. “Like a library book, the creations captivate the imagination. The builds are all done without instructions and come purely from the imagination.”

Some examples include a Taylor Swift portrait, cityscapes with waterfalls and moving elements, and a steampunk submarine that glides from the ceiling.

The show also features a LEGO-building challenge titled “Fairytales Come to Life” where attendees can vote for their favourite creation.

Admission is by donation.
