Air Canada and airBaltic have signed a codeshare agreement that increases the airlines’ connectivity between Canada and Northern Europe.

Starting Nov. 6, 2024, Air Canada customers will have access to 10 routes operated by airBaltic, enabling single-ticket travel to Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania. The routes include popular European destinations, such as Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Stockholm.

As part of the agreement, airBaltic’s marketing code will be added to Air Canada flights connecting Toronto to Copenhagen and Amsterdam, as well as the Canadian airline’s summer seasonal services from Montreal to Copenhagen and Amsterdam, as well as Toronto to Stockholm.

The airlines will explore implementing loyalty program benefits in the future.

“Air Canada is very pleased to expand its longstanding relationship with airBaltic to enable greater connectivity and customer convenience when travelling between Canada and Northern Europe,” said Mark Galardo, executive vice president, revenue and network planning at Air Canada.

“This new codeshare partnership serves the growing travel demand between Canada and the Baltic region and builds on Air Canada’s global growth strategy by leveraging its extensive, non-stop network from Canada to Scandinavia and key European gateways including Amsterdam.”
