The three-day event featured the Future Leaders Luncheon, hosted by David Rheault, Vice President of Government and Community Relations at Air Canada. One of the highlights was the thought-provoking panel discussion, Shaping Tomorrow’s Tourism: Empowering Future Leaders. This session not only spotlighted rising stars in the tourism industry but also provided a platform to honor the four recipients of the Air Canada Future Leaders Award. The luncheon celebrated their remarkable accomplishments and underscored the dedication and passion these students bring to the dynamic Canadian tourism sector.
“It’s always an honour to be able to recognize the future leaders of tomorrow,” said David. “Congratulations on winning the prize. We need strong leaders today and tomorrow. Other people count on you to keep promoting Canada here and around the world. It’s natural for Air Canada to support this event and the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), given our valued and strong relationships with tourism partners across the country and the important role we play as Canada’s flag and global carrier.”
The Canadian organization actively contributes to Air Canada’s Community Relations objectives, which aim to build a bilingual, inclusive, and sustainable future for Canada. Through targeted investments in key sectors such as aviation, tourism, and culture, Air Canada drives significant socio-economic advantages for the country.
By sponsoring initiatives like the TIAC Tourism Congress, Air Canada reaffirms its dedication to empowering the next generation of tourism leaders. Throughout the year, the airline supports numerous events and organizations with similar goals. A key example is its role as the Official Airline for the One Young World Summit in Montreal last fall.
