Air Canada, WestJet offer flexible travel changes as Tropical Storm Sara eyes Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula

FLEXIBLE CHANGES WITH AIR CANADA, WESTJET

Sara was forecast to pass over or very near the tourist destination of Roatan off Honduras’ coast on Sunday. The storm was then expected to turn northwesterly toward Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula.

Mexican authorities warned it could cause “intense rains” over the Yucatan Peninsula, home to Cancun, Tulum, Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen and many more top resort destinations.

Air Canada has posted travel advisories for both Tulum and Cancun, for travel Nov. 16 and Nov. 17, ahead of Tropical Storm Sara. More information about Air Canada’s revised ticketing policy for these destinations on these dates can be found here.

WestJet meanwhile has so far posted a travel advisory for flights to/from Belize City, for Nov. 16 and Nov. 17. For more details on WestJet click here.
