Fall has officially arrived, and with it comes another opportunity to save big with a Prime member-exclusive sale. Running from Oct. 8 – 9, Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days (also known as the Fall Prime Day) offers Canadians two days of can’t-miss deals.

Like with Prime Day in July, popular items from brands like Ninja, Samsung, Lego, adidas and more will be on sale – but you’ll have to be a Prime member to take advantage of the discount. Luckily, you won’t have to wait until next week, as many items are already on sale prior to the main event.

How to get ready for Amazon Prime Big Deal Days
If you’re wondering how you can start prepping for the fall Prime Day sale, Amazon has several features that will make it easier to shop on Oct. 8 and 9:
- Sign up for a Prime membership: The Prime Big Deal Days sale is open exclusively to Prime members – join here if you haven’t already. New members receive a free trial, after which a monthly membership costs $9.99 (an annual plan is also available for $99).
- Build your cart early: Ahead of the sale, add your favourite items to cart to watch for discounts before checking out. If you have one of Amazon’s Alexa-enabled devices, just say, “Alexa, add [product name] to my cart,” to be notified when a deal becomes available.
- Set up deal notifications: Prime members can set up personalized notifications for items on their Wish List, in their Cart or marked “Save for Later.” To be alerted when recent searches and product views go on sale, visit the Amazon Shopping app to create deal alerts.
