The Jets won.
I watched this game as it was going down.
The Jets do not look good and, and it’s fine that they won the football game on your hair.
I don’t know.
I look, here’s my take on the Jets who, yes, I did pick to go to the Super Bowl.
They’re coming off a Monday night game, really tough game against a 49er, a very physical team.
They get, they have to play week two on the road against Tennessee who does have a pretty good defensive front and all that kind of stuff.
That’s a tough spot for them to be in and they have a Thursday night football game against New England.
So they’re already looking forward to that.
Uh, it was just a really, really tough scheduling spot for the Jets was not surprised that they came out a little flat, a little bad or down 10, 7 at the half.
They did pull out the win.
Uh, this is one of look, some weeks, I’m like, hey, uh, it didn’t look really pretty.
I’m not that impressed with this win, this one.
I was like, what, it doesn’t matter how it looked, you needed to get this win and just get back home for that Thursday night game.
But at some point you see, the problem is we’re holding the Jets to the standard like they’re on the precipice of a Super Bowl.
And the funny thing about that is everybody says, well, the Jets were one quarterback away from the Super Bowl.
Uh, maybe you remember because you’re a better historian than I did.
I am how many teams just suddenly go from?
We haven’t been in the playoffs in ages and we’ve never done anything in the playoffs.
We, we haven’t even been there.
So all of a sudden, we’re part of the Super Bowl conversation like that just doesn’t happen.
Usually there’s a progression you get into the playoffs and you get your butt kicked and then eventually you take that next step like it, it happens, but we just assigned this Aaron Rodgers God status to everything and, and I saw an Aaron Rodgers today that that was fine, like, but, but we’re not talking about him like he’s fine, like, like Aaron Rodgers was an ok starting quarterback today that played, ok. And the jets’ offense looked ok.
The Jets offensive line I thought got abused quite often.
The, the pocket collapsed more than it should, right?
So I saw an ok offense, a team that we talk about is about to be great and you watch teams like Buffalo, Buffalo looks great, right?
Like, uh, you would I bet my house right now on this version of the Jets against the Bills.
No, would I bet my house on this version of the Jets against the Chiefs?
No, like at some point this version of the Jets, we either need to talk about them like they actually are playing on the field, which is it?
Ok, football team or we need to start acknowledging that like they’re not living up to whatever this expectation is that we have.
