The 2024 F1 season heads to Azerbaijan this weekend for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. While many F1 tracks follow street circuits in beautiful cities around the world, this is the only F1 track to wind its way around a UNESCO world heritage site, and several key turns are narrowly hemmed in by the Medieval walls of the city’s old town.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix takes place over 51 laps around the Baku City Circuit in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The official race starts at 7 a.m. ET on Sunday, Sept. 15, but the action on the track kicks off with practices on Friday, Sept. 13.
