Biggest ever bingo wins

Sun Bingo has rounded up the stories of eight of the biggest recorded in-person and online bingo wins.

Anita Campbell – £1.1 million

Technically, Anita Campbell became a bingo millionaire thanks to two combined wins.

Yes, not only did Anita get lucky once, but the bingo gods smiled on her again 10 days later.

In 2019, Anita from County Durham won £597,000 while playing online bingo.

Then, in less than a fortnight, she won again. This time, she won £552,000, which brought her total winnings to £1,149,000!

Even though, technically, Anita didn’t bag a major bingo win in one hit, her story is far too incredible to be left off this list.

Christine Bradfield – £1.1 million

Christine Bradfield was the first of two extraordinary wins in 2008.

Christine was playing in her local bingo hall in Tyfil, Wales, with her sister-in-law / bingo buddy, Lorraine, when her numbers came up in a Platinum Jackpot game.

Christine became an instant millionaire with a winnings pot of £1.1 million.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY ONLINE BINGO?

She was the first ever Platinum Jackpot winner and named the biggest in-house bingo winner in the UK.

Christine had plans to return to her job so that she wasn’t left at home, where she’d be tempted to spend all her winnings on shopping.

Soraya Lowell – £1.2 million

Christine’s title didn’t last long, as in the same year, Soraya Lowell scoped a bingo prize of £1.2 million.

Soraya was another winner of the epic Platinum Jackpot. Legend has it that the celebrations went on until 6am!

Yet, Soraya planned on making it to work the next day.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BINGO JACKPOTS

Honouring a pact between herself and her neighbour, Agnes O’Neill, Soraya split her winnings with her bingo buddy.

O’Neill had been unwell for the past few years, and died a few weeks after the jackpot win.

Subsequently, Soraya divorced her husband and four years later filed for bankruptcy.

Money management is a crucial part of the online or in-house bingo experience.

No matter the size of your budget or winnings pot, all bingo players must be mindful of their spending.

However, the farm comes first!

Mandy had already won £400 playing online bingo. With her final £3 she played a slot game with a progressive jackpot.
