Burnley have signed Silkeborg right-back Oliver Sonne for an undisclosed fee on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
The Denmark-born 24-year-old qualifies to play for Peru through his mother and has won 10 caps for the South American country.
Sonne made 20 appearances for Silkeborg in the first half of the season and featured for them in the Europa Conference League.
“The ambition is to go back up to the Premier League and I will fight to make that happen,” he told the club website.
Burnley, who are third in the Championship, host Stoke City on Wednesday.
