Clarets to continue poor run

Burnley are entertaining Bournemouth in a big top-flight game, with the hosts desperate for a victory to give themselves a fighting chance of avoiding relegation

In truth, the Clarets have been way off the pace this season, and that was shown in their 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace last weekend.

Burnley have won just three times in 26 matches throughout the campaign and have mustered just 13 points, while Bournemouth are in 14th position and 15 points ahead.

The Cherries have not been in great form of late, but have shown this season they can beat sides such as Palace and Manchester United on their travels

There is a clear gap in quality between the two sides, and we are backing the visitors to emerge victorious on Sunday.

Solanke key for Cherries

Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke has been in simply incredible form this season, and has 14 Premier League goals to his name.

Now 26, he has been influential in the club’s campaign and will be looking to add to his tally against a team that have conceded 58 times this term.

The Clarets have conceded 16 in their past five matches, and we are backing them to let the prolific Solanke net this weekend.

Esteve in for a tough day

French centre back Maxime Esteve has recently come into the Burnley side and found life in the Premier League tough going.

The 21-year-old, on loan from Montpellier and with an option for the Clarets to buy, was carded last time out against Palace, failing to deal with the presence of Jean-Phillipe Mateta and Jordan Ayew, and looks to be facing another tough task against Solanke and Antoine Semenyo.

Esteve has committed four fouls in his four Premier League matches, and we will not be surprised if his name ends up in the referee’s notebook again on Sunday
