‘Canada Land Of Opportunity Or Broken Dreams?’: Video Shows Indians Lining Up For ‘Waiter Jobs’

Must read

A video showing students, mostly from India, queued outside the ‘Tandoori Flame’ restaurant in Canada has gone viral on social media. The footage purportedly depicts thousands of students waiting in line to apply for positions as waiters and kitchen staff. This viral video raises concerns regarding the job opportunities available for international students, particularly those considering relocating to Canada for higher education or employment.

The video was posted on X, captioned: “A restaurant in Brampton wanted to hire some waiters, and behold, 3,000 students (mostly Indian) showed up. The alarming employment situation in Canada, coupled with rising living costs, has made life a living hell for many. Students arriving in Canada with rosy dreams need serious introspection!”

As the video begins, many students are seen standing in a long queue outside the restaurant. One job seeker, identified as Agamvir Singh, stated, “I came here around noon, and the line was enormous. We submitted our applications online, and they said they would conduct interviews. But nothing like that happened. People are just showing up. I don’t believe there are job opportunities here. It is really tough.”

Another job seeker, Vashvi, added, “It’s so bad; it feels like everyone is looking for a job, yet no one is getting employed properly. So many of my friends don’t have jobs right now, and they have been here for 2-3 years.”
