Let’s talk one of my favorite receivers in the game.

You’ve got uh a great bunch of stats here on Chris Godwin and man, talk about something that makes me feel alive.

Like, truly happy to be on planet earth.

Seeing Chris Godwin’s performance in the first two weeks has been that for me.

Yeah, we’ve got in what we were promised more slot usage out of Chris goin according to Dwayne mcfarlane of Fantasy life.

65% of his snaps this year threw two games out of the slot.

That’s more than double last year by the way.

So we’ve gotten the increase there and it’s translated week one catches all four of his slot targets for 48 yards and a touchdown this last week catches six of seven of his slot targets, 100 and 16 yards and a touchdown.

So everything we want and we’re getting out of Chris Godwin.

He’s currently PF F’s number one graded wide receiver through two weeks amongst all players, not just out of the slot.

Part of me thinks like, yes, this move to the slot is great.

I do.

I think Chris Godwin is a matchup advantage in the slot.

Whereas outside, he can play outside, he’s a good player outside, but he just becomes a mismatch here for these guys, uh, in the slot.

Part of me also thinks like, yeah, he, he kind of had a good season last year.

Sal he just, he’s more, he certainly looks more explosive this year.

I’ll give, I’ll give everybody that, but also, like, he’s catching touchdowns.

Whereas last year, he, he caught over 80 he passes over 1000 yards.

He just didn’t catch any touchdowns.

He might end up having the same catch yardage season as he did last year.

He’s just, he’s just getting in the end zone this year.

Yeah.

Already matched his touchdown total from last season.

So that’s great.

And, yeah, I think, I think part of this is all like, uh, just the overall environment on offense looks good right now, like it wasn’t just a fluke, it seems like in week one.

So that’s gonna help like you get the slot usage and that’s something that should be a mismatch problem like you’re talking about.

Um, but the old overall offense just looks better, like it’s not like we’re going three and out here we’re actually having sustainable drives.

So we’re getting those red zone targets for Chris Cobb and some explosive plays just help even more.

And this upcoming week and week three, he gets the Denver Broncos, he’ll get to most likely avoid Patrick Certan by going into the slot for two thirds of the game.

So another nice spot for Godwin, if you’re talking about like prop markets, maybe a spot to favor him over at Mike Evans love that.

Um, I’ve been betting the over on Chris Godwin’s yardage each of the last two weeks.

Probably gonna do it again here in week three.

I have him as a top 20 receiver rest of the season.
