Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? has maintained its seat as one of the most popular primetime quiz shows on UK television since it began 26 years ago.
Originally presented by Chris Tarrant and relaunched in 2018 with Jeremy Clarkson at the helm, the simplicity of its format is what makes it such great viewing. Contestants answer a series of multiple choice general knowledge questions in increasing levels of difficulty for an accumulating sum of money, to try and reach a possible £1,000,000 jackpot.
Seven people have won the jackpot on the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? UK version since the quiz show was launched in 1998. The format has become a boardgame, a pub gambling machine, remade in over 30 different countries around the world and spawned a TV drama based on the cheating scandal. But how hard is it to claim the top prize?
We have put together 15 questions, in increasing difficulty from some of the show’s most memorable episodes. Could you win the jackpot without the help of the usual lifelines?
