Two goals in the final 10 minutes earned Crosserlough a tenth Cavan SFC title with a 2-6 to 0-4 victory over Ramor United at Breffni Park.
In a low-scoring game played in dreadful conditions, the goals by Conor Rehill and Stephen Smith were massive scores.
The game was level at 0-3 apiece 15 minutes into the second half but Crosserlough were more threatening and played the conditions much better than their opponents.
They hit 2-2 without reply in the final quarter to be crowned Cavan champions for the first time since 2020.
Ramor had a galeforce wind at their backs in the first half but struggled hitting 11 wides before the break.
Points from play were at a premium with Crosserlough’s Emmett Boylan and Ramor’s Cathal Maguire scoring their respective team’s sole point from play in the opening half.
The game was still in the balance with 15 minutes to go before Crosserlough, who were without injured county star forward Paddy Lynch, took over.
They were more clinical with the wind and Conor Rehill scored a goal with seven minutes to go.
Former county star Stephen Smith added a second goal four minutes into stoppage time, beating the Ramor ‘keeper one-on-one, with the last kick of the game.
Crosserlough will travel to Pairc Esler in Newry to play Down champions Kilcoo in the first round of the Ulster club championship on 10 November.
The Cavan showpiece was the only one of four scheduled club finals to take place on Sunday.
The Fermanagh, Tyrone and Armagh deciders were all postponed due to Storm Ashley.
