Orlando City star Facundo Torres may depart the USA for Mexico rather than Brazil.
According to MLS insider Tom Bogert of GiveMeSport, Cruz Azul have “hijacked” the 24-year-old’s upcoming move to Palmeiras.
The Liga MX side are attempting to sign the midfielder despite Palmeiras reportedly agreeing to a club-record deal with Orlando City for the Uruguayan.
The new update states, “Cruz Azul are confident, but they have yet to submit a bid to Orlando City for the player.”
