Fantasy football managers brave enough to take a shot on rookie tight end Brock Bowers have been handsomely rewarded to this point in the season. It’s been a historic campaign for the 13th overall pick, officially breaking the record set by Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta just last season for the most catches by a rookie tight end in NFL history.

He’s well on his way to breaking another record LaPorta set last season, too, for the most fantasy points scored by a rookie TE ever (239.3 points in full-PPR scoring leagues). If his 15.82 points per game hold up, he’ll be set for 268.94 points — one heck of a statement coming off LaPorta’s ground-breaking rookie year, made all the more impressive when considering the fact that the Las Vegas Raiders rank 29th in offensive touchdowns scored this year.
