Flair Airlines, Canada’s leader in affordable and sustainable air travel, maintained its reputation for reliability by achieving an impressive 99.1% flight completion rate in November. This milestone reinforces its status as Canada’s most dependable airline, even amid the challenges of winter weather conditions.
“Reliability is at the core of everything we do,” said Maciej Wilk, Interim CEO of Flair Airlines. “Achieving a 99.1% completion rate in November, significantly higher than any of our competitors – showcases the strength of our team and our commitment to connecting passengers affordably and dependably, no matter the season.”
Flair’s completion rate surpasses that of its competitors, with Porter at 98.7%, Air Canada at 98.4%, and WestJet at 97.2%. Flair distinguishes itself by its unwavering commitment to transparency, being the only Canadian airline to publicly share detailed monthly operational reports. This openness underscores the airline’s dedication to accountability and providing passengers with a clear view of its performance.
“Our promise to passengers is simple: we will keep raising the bar,” added Wilk. “We’re committed to improving and delivering the best reliable, affordable travel experiences while transparently leading the way.”
In November, Flair introduced Canada’s first On-Time Guarantee, offering passengers 18+ who book directly through flyflair.com a $60 e-voucher. This initiative goes beyond APPR requirements, demonstrating Flair’s commitment to building passenger trust by offering compensation in the event of delays.
Flair’s on-time performance in November stood at 73.4%, with WestJet slightly ahead at 73.9%, Porter at 77.3%, and Air Canada leading with 81.4%.
“Well done, Air Canada,” said Wilk. “We are happy to see that our competitive pressure has helped you improve your own operations. While we’re still #1 for completion factor in Canada, positive pressure improves flying for all Canadians. Our team is working relentlessly to be #1 in both completion factor and on-time performance.”
Flair carried 289,051 passengers in November, achieving an impressive 86.2% load factor. The airline connected Canadians to 35 destinations across Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean. Popular sunny destinations like Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Kingston, and Orlando saw strong demand, thanks to Flair’s competitive prices that make travel more accessible to Canadians.
Sustainability continues to be a key focus for Flair. November marked one of the airline’s greenest months, with CO2 emissions dropping to just 54.6 grams per kilometre per passenger—nearly 3 grams less than the previous month. As eco-conscious travel becomes a priority for many Canadians, Flair’s commitment to sustainability makes it a top choice for affordable, environmentally friendly journeys.
Flair Airlines is redefining air travel in Canada through transparency, accountability, and a focus on affordable, sustainable travel options. With winter challenges ahead, Flair is committed to maintaining its high standards and looking forward to an even stronger 2025.
