Former Sabres Forward Red-Hot With New Team

Must read

During this past off-season, Eric Robinson left the Buffalo Sabres and signed a one-year, $950,000 contract with the Carolina Hurricanes. The expectation was that Robinson would be a serviceable depth forward for the Canes. However, he has been far more than just that thus far.

Robinson is off to an excellent start with the Hurricanes. In 17 games this season, he has five goals, 12 points, 27 hits, and a plus-11 rating. He is also not slowing down, as he had a goal and two assists in his most recent game against the St. Louis Blues. In addition, he has two goals and five points in his last four games.

This increase in offensive production is very notable from Robinson. He had just two goals and nine points in 40 games last season with the Sabres. He has already crushed those totals in just 17 games as a Hurricane. In addition, if he keeps this play up, he will pass his career highs of 12 goals (2022-23) and 27 points (2021-22).

Nevertheless, Robinson seems to have found an incredible fit with the Hurricanes. It will be fascinating to see how he builds on this.
