Graham Potter is reportedly in talks with West Ham to replace Julen Lopetegui as head coach.
Lopetegui’s first six months in east London have been an unmitigated disaster with the Hammers having picked up just six wins all season despite spending £125m last summer.
And now a well-sourced story in the Daily Mail has claimed that Potter has been in discussions with West Ham over the past 24 hours about becoming their new coach.
The capital club lost to Manchester City at the weekend but with potentially winnable home games against Fulham and Crystal Palace around the corner, it seems as if West Ham could act now to get their man.
Potter has been patient in waiting for his next job having been out of work since leaving Chelsea in April 2023.
The former Brighton boss has previously been linked with jobs at Ajax, Roma and Lyon but could well be back in the Premier League sooner rather than later.
