Rangers forward Ianis Hagi says love of the club was why he stayed at Ibrox.
A contractual stand-off meant he was sent to train and play with the B team.
Manager Philippe Clement made clear over the summer that the Romania international wouldn’t be part of his plans but a compromise was eventually found to allow his reintegration to the first team.
“I love the club,” the 26-year-old said when asked why he was so keen to find a resolution.
“In football, everything changes quickly, from good to bad and also from bad to good.
“It’s tough when you’re not playing football but I’ve been in worse situations than this. When I was out injured for a year, for example.”
Hagi revealed he had discussions with manager Clement towards the end of the summer that hinted he could still have a future at Ibrox.
“There were conversations and at a certain point, we both wanted to win,” he added.
“I just want to do my job as a number 10 for this club. I know what I can bring to the table and I’m just happy to be back in the mix.”
