Truro City went top of National League South as Tyler Harvey scored a hat-trick in an impressive 4-1 win at Weymouth.
Jaze Kabia headed in Harvey’s fifth-minute cross to put the Tinners ahead before Harvey doubled the lead 20 minutes later as he pounced on a loose ball in the box.
Truro controlled the game and went further in front when Harvey converted a 50th-minute penalty after Kabia was fouled in the box.
The win was completed seven minutes later when Truro’s talisman converted a pass from Kabia.
Jake McCarthy headed home a consolation for Weymouth with 16 minutes left before the hosts had Charlie Rowan was sent off for a second booking.
The victory, coupled with leaders Weston-super-Mare losing 4-2 at Torquay United, means Truro go top of the table on goal difference.
Weston have a game in hand on Truro while third-placed Torquay are three points behind.
